You are invited to discuss your health matters from a holistic perspective in consultation with Angela Knop. All therapeutic sessions are delivered within the privacy of the clinic room with your therapist dedicated to seeing one patient at a time. Counselling sessions are available also via a telehealth option. Angela aims for an integrated approach toward safe patient care. With detailed knowledge of your individual health status, a very individualised treatment approach is made best possible.
Angela is a formally bachelor qualified and registered Acupuncturist with a second post graduate degree in Medicines Management and a Graduate Diploma in Counselling.
Acupuncture: A broad range of clientele are serviced by this clinic including elderly, adults, young adults, teens and children. She enjoys assisting all with their unique issues ranging from acute injury or illness, through to chronic and complex issues and particularly mental health issues including anxiety and depression. She also has experience with several high profile clients locally resident or visiting to Brisbane internationally and understands the importance of confidentiality for all individuals in all matters.
Counselling: Angela has first-hand understanding of the challenges which a diagnosis of anxiety or depression can present to the individual, and as such has been well positioned to understand the day to day impacts of such conditions. She helps her clients with support and to navigate, manage or overcome these feelings. She has voluntary experience as a Crisis Supporter with Lifeline, as well as a Youth Mentor with YMCA supporting adolescents from 12 years old. She works clinically with young adults through to late 20's, and adults of all ages. Specialised counselling is also provided to neurotypical (NT) partners of those who are on the autistic spectrum (ASD).
Sadness, overwhelm, stress, anxiety, depression or other uncomfortable feelings can be mild or debilitating. They can be also be apparent alongside other diagnosed/undiagnosed conditions, for example such as ADHD, bipolar, PTSD. Or quite commonly as symptomatic to living with chronic pain. Whatever you or your loved one's presentation, Angela always appreciates the privilege and opportunity to work with each person in their journey forward from wherever they are now today.
